You will discover various
possibilities of watercolor and
colored pencils in a playful way.
During this creative week, various themes are discussed such as
line, plane, color, texture, rhythm and contrast.
Whether you are a novice or
experienced artist, this course
gives you the opportunity to
express yourself at your own level and pace in the special environ-ment of Moroccan culture and
landscape.

Meet Anna Khodorovich

Anna Khodorovich is a multidisciplinary visual artist and qualified teacher. Anna works with oil paint, watercolour, ink and creates ceramic reliefs.
She grew up in the former Soviet Union and has been professionally involved in art since the age of 12. Since 2004, she has been living and working in the Netherlands and teaching painting and drawing at the Wackers Academy in Amsterdam. Anna focuses on working outdoors. Using vivid colours, she captures her personal interpretation of the changing landscape, where she sees certain patterns, directions and connections between lines and planes.

Retreat Overview
What the Week Looks Like
We will welcome you to the inspiring Dar Drouj, a 14th-century house where you will be staying. The next day we start with an introduction to each other, to the house and to the neighborhood. In the afternoon we immediately start with an assignment. The rest of the week is filled with workshops, wandering through the medina, inspiring excursions and delicious food.

A typical day might include:
We will start the day with a small presentation about the materials and the theme of the day. Then we work outside on the roof terrace and after lunch together we work at various locations.
We combine work sessions with a cultural visit and local walks. The evening is free. There will be an opportunity for feedback or to relax at sunset.
